Our 5th floor rooftop garden in this first year of residence is all in pots and planters, awaiting the professional landscaping which will surround us with greenery and color in all seasons. This will include small birch trees in pots and a deck with a playhouse for kids (as soon as some move in to help plan it!). We now have an array of colorful flowering plants, herbs and other edibles and waving grasses. These all are easily re-arrangeable to surround us as we enjoy the wonderful urban skyline and tree-top views. We are using chard in our community meals and bringing nature into our urban setting.

Good times await you every Saturday at the Oak Park Farmers' Market. Enjoy donuts made on site, fresh coffee, live bluegrass music and more than two dozen independent farmers and producers selling fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, cheese, frozen meat and baked goods.  The Market takes place from 7 a.m.to 1 p.m rain or shiine through November 14 in the Pilgrim Church Parkng lot.

Oak Park's Arts District

Oak Park's Arts District is a go-to destination for art lovers, diners, shoppers, and commuters (a 1/2 block from the blue line train).

The Sculpture Walk in the Arts District includes six new unique sculptures on view through April 2027 (2 are pictured below). Also six permanent playful art pieces remain on display. Each sculpture celebrates the imagination and creativity that thrive in Oak Park.
